Founded in 1991, In Your Ear’s original focus was the creation of original music production for film and advertising. Over the years that focus has widened to include support for all types of Audio production and Video post-production as well.

One important step in accommodating this expanded vision began in 1999 with construction of our dream facility in Richmond’s historic Shockoe Bottom. Combining the talents of California’s top acoustical architects, Studio Bau:ton, and Richmond architect Bob Steele of BOB, circa 1840 row houses and a new modern technical structure became one.

IYE Creative Post and In Your Ear’s new 18,000 sf complex features 3 ultra quiet audio studios with high ceilings (one large enough for small concerts), audio control rooms designed for surround-sound production, two Avid suites with central technical support room, multiple client lounges and ample office space.
